Lisa Cuevas Fuechtmann is a Master’s level clinician who graduated from St. Xavier University with dual concentrations in school and community counseling. Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Type 73 Certified School Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Board Certified Tele-mental Health Professional, and Certified Recovery Support Specialist. In addition, Lisa has an undergraduate degree in psychology from DePaul University as well as a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Dominican University.
Lisa has had 11 years of experience in the field of mental health including working with both children & adults in school & community mental health settings. Lisa founded the school counseling program at Latino Youth High School where she worked with adolescents who were dealing with bullying, family issues, behavioral problems, self harming behavior, & academic issues.
Lisa’s work has ranged from treating anxiety, depression, substance abuse, & marital counseling, hypnotherapy, care giver support, anger issues, & management of chronic mental illnesses.
Lisa works from a cognitive behavioral framework & also uses psychodynamic techniques. Areas of specialty are: Relationship Counseling, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, Work/Life Balance, Domestic Violence, Chronic Mental Illness/Personality Disorders, & Hypnotherapy.
